ABOUT THE ARTIST:

The Stephen Hull Experience gives the blues community exciting evidence that the future of music is in good hands. In January the band traveled to Memphis to compete against hundreds of blues bands from around the world in the International Blues Challenge 2024. Hull and his bandmates won the first and second rounds which sent them to the finals where they captured second place! Hull was also was awarded “Best Guitarist” and was awarded a beautiful new Gibson 335, Category 5 amp and Lee Oscar harmonica! Later this year Hull will embark on a European tour with Chicago blues artists Sheryl Youngblood and Dave Herrero in November and December. At age 22, Hull's star is rising fast!

Born in 1999, a native of Racine, Wisconsin, Stephen Hull started playing blues at age 14 and never stopped, taking cues from Albert King and B.B. King as he developed his sweet, soulful guitar sound. Balancing that with his absolutely stellar lead vocals and infectiously buoyant personality, Stephen has been rising fast in the blues clubs of Chicago and venues across southeastern Wisconsin. Appearing in blues magazines such as Living Blues (U.S.) and Blues & Rhythm: The Gospel Truth (UK) and Blues Blast, Stephen has been interviewed by a myriad of media including Lake Effect (broadcast on Milwaukee’s NPR). The Stephen Hull Experience has performed on prestigious stages, including the Chicago Blues Fest and the Mississippi Valley Blues Fest.
